Layered landscapes
Second graders learned about foreground, middleground and background while drawing their landscapes. They drew three hills, along with three trees, showing how things get smaller the farther they are away from you. They are working on blending colors as they paint them with watercolors.
Art to remember
Second graders brainstormed ideas of creatures and objects that could be under the sea. They drew the bottom of the ocean floor, and filled their page with sea creatures, plant life and other objects. Using crayon and watercolors, they created a wax resist for this year's PTA Art to Remember project. You can expect to see their artwork and the packets with ordering information coming home in the next few months.
